I would never of thought I would be reading about this seller hear on the S scale list, but I too, had a run in with this seller due to him selling me a AF item with Reproduction parts. He did not mentioned the R parts, as they are orange cardboard tubes with the R clearly marked inside.
On a separate bid I won a AF caboose I needed which was fine. I wrote him that the tubes where repro’s and I was going to send the car back, as he said okay. I also questioned why the 1 charge for insurance, as the PO said no insurance was on the package. I asked out of principle for the dollar back too since the PO said no insurance was issued. Well, that got into a big brew ha ha. As he said no refund on insurance and I had to send back BOTH items for my refund. I told him the caboose was a separate auction that was in the combined shipping. ‘ Then he threaten if he got the flat car with the pipes did come back he would not give a refund. I sent the car back, he did issue a refund for the car, as it was about 80. The repro pipes made this car worth about 10 to 20. I am forever blocked from bidding with him anymore. LOL Just a terrible person to deal with if you have a problem with the goods you win from him. Buyer beware. Rarely any bargains among his listings, condition is not assured (one of those sellers who tries to evade responsibiiity by claiming not to know anything about the item), but I HAVE bought some things from him on ebay. Caveat VERY emptor. Know what you are getting, and if you have any doubts either don't bid or don't bid more than you can afford to waste.
