Since we're into reruns, I can ask again: Do you know anybody who entered the AF collecting hobby in the last 10 years? I'm not plugged into that world, so I am asking those of you who would have better connections to any newbies in AF collecting. Do AF collectors even want more people to enter that hobby? Would it help them somehow?
Here's a second question: do you know anybody who gave up on AF collecting because there wasn't any (xxx) available? Wasn't enough exposure at the local hobby shop? Not enough coverage in the press? Scale modelers have a wholly different set of promotion issues. I agree with what I think Dick is saying. If we are interested in promoting S Scale, in the promotions we gain absolutely nothing by including AF. If it turns some people away, drop it.
