Gee, Ed, you're missing the challenge of making an AF car look like the real 
thing.  I've done a half-dozen twin hoppers, a boxcar,
most of a gondola, and working gradually on a caboose.  Details can stand 
improvement--and I do, up to a point--but the proportions
are pretty accurate.  Unlike the old days, most of my freight cars are SHS or 
AM, a few DPH and from kits, but the conversions don't
look bad in a train with them; they will never be a significant part of my 
roster, but they provide an interesting mix.
