The local monthly TCA meet I bought 4 each AF heavyweight bodies, in really
bad shape though, for $30, and most of the freight cars, no trucks or couplers
and some with broken steps were going for 3 to 5 dollars a body.
In the past i would have been interested in using this stuff to rebuild as
scale cars. I now plan on getting these in running condition to use on the
American Flyer club layout though. I can't run them behind my brass SP MT-4's
but they will look very nice with the latest AF 4-6-2 engines that I've managed
to get off ebay for only $100.
