Dear dave
Nope, ain't going to happen. While I do seem to be accumulating more S scale
than I really intended, I have far, far too much O scale to ever
abandon it. I am thinking of S scale as what I hoped to do in O scale all
those years ago: to have sufficient motive power and rolling stock to
operate a modest switching operation and perhaps a single-track branch line
from one terminal to the other with a few stations in between.
Just as I don't think of combining my interests in narrow gage and traction
(and British light railways) with my primary shortline focus, I have
visions of both a modest O scale railroad and the same in S scale, swapping
components around for variety rather than planning on using
everything at once.
