The ancient fraternal organization to which I belong has always had a firm policy that members should not discuss partisan politics nor sectarian religion at its meetings; doubtless that is why it has survived as long as it has. Everyone is entitled to opinions--even on those topics (as someone suggested, everyone has one, like AF cabooses, or as I have sanitized it previously, like noses--the way I heard originally was somewhat less delicate)--but introducing them on a hobby list is unecessarily divisive.
