Bill, I started working on one some time ago. I used some photos of
two units that were setting on a team track on the old SAAP line not far
from my studio. One was an ex NYC relettered for PC. Both were loaded
with electrical equipment. I made the mistake of not organizing or
seperating the negatives, because I can't tell the differences between
the two units and their features. What I did like on them was those
vertical 'fins' that are used for tie downs--some had been removed
meaning even a AF car with some broken would be prototypical. I also
noticed the very thick rough wooden decking used on the raised end
platforms--that's a lot to model in some ways. The decking had
countersunk bolt heads and hundreds of nails driven into it to hold down
crated loads.

In my version, I thought about keeping the end stirrups, what are you
going to use as replacements? My wife could care less!
