John, I learned over 3 years ago that S scalers don't support the hobby. . .

I cannot make leap from "they're not interested in the same era- and
road-specific product I'm obsesses with" to "they don't support the hobby."
To say we don't support the S gauge hobby means.we have never given advance
deposits to AM, SMMW, or anyone else who needed them. We have. It means we
have never bought any AM, SHS, DPH, or SMMW products. I think we have.
Maybe not in the quantities you'd like, but there are only so many of us.
(And another how-to-recruit-S-gaugers thread is not what is needed at this
time.) I don't expect thousands of S Gaugers, especially not SAL modellers,
to flock to an intermodal car project I'm contemplating. That's OK.
Probably the best I will do will be to make one for myself and share
information with others on how I did it.
And for anyone who has given up and got out of S, but still continues to
make comments here, do you know the old C&W song, "How can I miss you when
you won't go away?"
