Thanks Bill, but I have a couple pair.  When the plastic is weak, like 
the center of a ladder rung, I don't think there's not much one can do.  
With the A=M gondola ladders, one snap and the ladder split in half and 
with the PRS air lines, I've had them break into 2-3 sections with one 
clip.  I've never tried them on the cats--they take great pride in using 
them on occasion!
