As Jace noted, the E-27 is almost a dead ringer for the NYC G-46 class. A good chunk of these were from the Toledo & Ohio Central and its subsidiaries, so I'm quite pleased with this model.
George Elwood's Fallen Flags site has useful NYC locomotive information at <http://rr-fallenflags.org/nyc/nyc-eng.html>. The various locomotive books listed show the G-46 diagrams, and other classes might be close as well. There are also links from the given link to photos of NYC steam and diesel engines/locomotives.
