I now have SHABBONA's GP-9 re-engined with a large flat can from American
Motors. I have to say that this is now the first time I've been completely
satisfied with its performance.

I'd let Andre try it, but its a real knuckle jerker now, and I'm afraid I'd be
replacing a lot of knuckles :)

I'm working on applying lettering to the flat car conversions I've made up. One
car done, except for the end lettering.

I've had a Heljan turntable in service now for about three years. I suggest
mounting the pit on a piece of 2x4 for stability and mount the drive below that
(20-20 hindsight). Otherwise, the bottom of the pit depresses under the weight
of an S scale locomotive and causes binding.
