Nice plan, Koz!

As far as manual control of the turntable, putting a bar at the end to move it 
with your finger, etc. would be prototypical and should overcome the twisting 
of the turntable bridge caused by the binding when the center of the turntable 
pit depresses under the weight of an engine.

I would, however, solidly support the center of the pit in case you would 
change your mind about powering the turntable. You should be able to learn more 
about this in the coming days.

Now, I've got to finish detailing MY turntable! I've got some ideas, but not 
sure when they'll see light of day. Whenever I get something, anything, 
working, the cosmetic details seem to suffer. I guess that's why I'm working so 
hard on these flat car conversions (two down and two to go! See "Files" under 
Bob Nicholson for photos)
