Someone needs to check whether or not Baldwin and Fairbanks-Morse used a truck 
that was a foot longer wheelbase than the corresponding EMD/Alco truck.  The 
reason is that Westinghouse traction motors were used instead of GE.   I think 
this applies only to the B road truck but not the A switcher truck, but I could 
be incorrect.  DJE

  Of course (dope slap!): the AM S-12 uses type B road trucks, which are longer 
wheelbase than switcher trucks.
