The wheels I a'm having custom made for myself will have the same wheel back-to-wheel back gap as SHS' and AM's code 110 wheels, a semi-scale wheel TREAD, and a wheel flange that should work with all available turnouts (quite similar to a code 110 wheel if not the same... maybe slightly smaller... not sure). The main difference will be in the wheel tread width which is the most noticeable part of the wheel.
Code 110 wheel tread is actually wider than the rail on most track, so I don't foresee and operational problems with the narrower tread. John Degnan [email protected] ----- Original Message ----- Wheel Sets!!! John, Will these code 88 wheels work okay with the present pre-fab flex track from the current track mfg's? I don't intend to handlay my track and I understand the closer to prototype we get with our wheels widths the better our track gauge has to be> Love to have wheels closer to scale as long as they don't create issues. Will these fit the SHS and AM trucks properly? Can you give us an idea of cost on these and expected waiting time? I'm starting from scratch so it won't be as much of a problme for me to convert, but only if they work as good as they look. Butch ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
