Andre,
As an S Scale vet myself, perhaps with a few more years of experience, I can
associate with your angst. Some of my issue is the evolution of what type of
railroad I am interested in modeling, some caused by what became available and
some by my "maturing" tastes. You can take some consolation in knowing you
don't have stacks of things you no longer need but that was friends are for.
Recently I traded a couple freight cars I no longer needed to Jim Brown for a
building he no longer needed. It was a stretch but the building too nice to
let go out of the area. Sure enough, it wasn't right for the space I had but
Dave Hamilton saw it and thought he might have a good use for it. Last
Thursday, we visited Dave and the building fit his space perfectly. I am also
doing another trade for freight cars with a famous S Scaler our west (no, not
Ed although he is really famous). I can't help you with MP F units but I saw a
Burlington A-B-A set with DCC and sound that was going up for sale. I am not
sure what the asking price will be, I am thinking decked out that way 600.00
would be reasonable. I am considering them myself, the Burlington grey scheme
could become NP freight pretty quickly.

BTW, thank you for your contributions, you have been part of the inspiration to
create larger industrial switching areas on the layout. It is really pretty
realistic, I go in with "earth moving" tools, level hills and add urban
buildings. Fortunately in 1963, we didn't have the huge environmental impact
studies to finish first.

Don, I remember too well from my business days. There are only two types of
forecast, Lucky and Lousy. Who can figure what folks will buy?

Ken Zieska

Was it Frank who sang; Regrets, I have a few but then again, too few to
mention...... like all of us, we do it our way.
