I wondered why you had a problem until I checked the hotlink.  You have one 
with a road pilot (I think Don T. once said that was the
Southern lettering only, that came with a choice of pilots); mine have the 
footboard pilot and I think the SHS couplers (Kadee-compatible,
of course) may even have come already mounted front and rear--don't recall at 
this point.

Another instance of Don's thought in engineering the 2-8-0, that it is set up 
to do full switching for those of us who prefer that.

Considerable ingenuity on your part to adapt yours.
