Ed, Is your number boards fully cast or open?? If they are flat you paint them
your background color usually with a brush. then decal them. If they are open
cut clear styrene put your decals on the plastic in as an insert. Sometimes
there is enough room to put an led in the numberboard makes it really nice if
you can light it up. thanks bert

Subject: {S-Scale List} Number boards and ditch lights

      Hi All,

I have a couple of questions about the above topics. For those of you who model
freelance roads or paint your locos, how do you put numbers on your number
boards? The area seems too small to use decals and even so you'd have to fix
four separate numbers. The area also seems to be too small to paint unless it's
done by the manufacture. Ideas? The other question has to do with ditch lights
for diesels. If anyone is using ditch lights on their diesels, I'd like to know
how you attached them and what you used to house the lights. Thanks.
