Seems to me there is a real need for cast resin ends, doors, and roofs for
kitbashing and scratchbulding in S.  I have often thought of doing what Dave
suggests, buying an HO car and then using it as a three-dimensional plan, but I
stop when I realize there are no good ready-made parts available for items that
are hard to do from scratch.

Those are pretty old models , probably could make a more accurate model by
working from a photo and plans of the real car if they have been published or
if not maybe buying a new state of the art HO model if available and copying
it? ..DaveBranum
