Bob, that is the most accurate statement made on this thread.  If Mr. Cowan 
were still alive and running Lionel I don't think Atlas, MTH and other 3R Mfg's 
would have gotten the market share they have today. 

And, I'll bet he would have seen the light and offered 2R scale trains along 
with his 3R line. But, that was a period of strong willed iconic business men 
who made the decisions that grew their companies rather than a bunch of lackies 
answering to the stock holders.
