Back in the 1960s, there was an article in Model Railroader where a gent
installed two motors into an HO articulated. Cannot recall the issue or
article name, but will post it if I find it.

The rear engine motor was mounted in the usual position in the firebox
area with the gear box on a forward driver, and the motor for the front
engine was mounted right above the rear engine gear box with a shaft
going forward to a gearbox on the rear driver of the forward engine.

Take care
Bill
