""" On a real model railroading subject, I have often thought about trying to
mount twin motors, one on each engine of an articulated; either the 2-6-6-2 or
the Allegheny..................""".

Doug Cockerham, who passed away a couple years ago, is noted for his custom
drives in O scale diesel and steam locos. He converted several BigBoys putting
a motor on each engine. So, I'm sure it could be done in S as well.

The beauty of his loco wasn't the sound possibilities (before DCC) but watching
each engine go in and out of synch with eash other while running and seeing one
of the engines slip drivers while the other would hold the rails.

Many years ago he ran one at a large O scale show with 50-60 cars behind it.
Nobody wanted him to just run it around the layout they wanted to see it start
up and slip drivers. After about a dozen start-ups he got mad and left with the
loco. (VBG)
