This list is my daily reading Digest every morning, and quite frankly I
don't get upset at anything any one writes on this list as long as it
pertains to model railroading in S scale. This list is for S Scale modelers,
however all the names (Flyonel, American Flyer and others) mentioned are
related to S scale modeling in our discussions, like it or not, GROW UP!.
Recently the conversation has been getting out of line, some of it jokingly,
heck, I too enjoy humor, even about me.
But to see cussing, belittling and knocking fellow model railroaders is
completely out of line and the offenders should be monitored.
Com'on, and cut out the political stuff, let's get back to running S scale
trains and talking about our experiences.
I have a question; How many modelers on the list use the soft-ware program
Rail-Op ?
If you run operations on your model pike, what do you use?
Perhaps you made up an operating system just for your model railroad, (model
railroad solitaire?) tell us about it.
I know of one where the modeler uses playing cards and it works pretty nice.
Matter of fact his system made RMC several years ago.
How do you inventory your equipment?
That I do though Microsoft Excel, every piece of equipment I own is on Excel
and I can go to it [in boxes or on the layout] when I please.
This is pretty darn handy when I need a model or a kit that may want to
build, photograph or research.
Sure would like to hear your thoughts and please, give our moderators a
break, get back to running and building trains, S scale trains.
"S"incerely,
Bill Fraley
