At 89 I second that.  I'll take those views over brass locos anytime.

The popularity of the Water Level Route was due to all the beaches and swimmin 
holes along the water l;evel scenes.

The Pennsy only showed you old coal mines and slag dumps along the way.

  The Mighty NYC, for one, has a beach scene complete with swimmers in bikinis. 
No nudes in the interest of being a family appropriate activity.
