  Probably the best way for him to get reassured would be to talk with Don of 
SHS, Ron of Des plaines, and with American models and Heimberger and get the 
future prospects info direct from those who really know.
  My opinion is that Sergent couplers would be proportionally more popular in S 
or O scales than they would in HO scale as the larger size should make them 
easier to line up when coupling, the heavier cars are easier to couple without 
them scooting down the track on contact, and the larger the coupler the more 
the scale appearance matters....Dave Branum
