Peter, I'm not against an article a year in GMR and feel it's a great idea, but I don't want to substitute it for this publication we're discussing now. I think we're looking at two different ideas, both excellent, one would have an immediate impact and the other would sustain it.
Maybe this new "S" publication could be along the lines of the following link only leaving out the common theme articles like scenery, control systems and building a layout that can be found everywhere and substitute articles on existing "S" layouts. http://www.oscalemag.com/gmos.php The 1st printing of the above publication sold out in months and the 2nd printing is doing pretty well too from what I was told. There are a lot of newbies getting into the larger scales (for obvioius reasons) and the chatter I read on the OGR and Atlas O forums was HO and N modelers buying or trying to locate this publication. Maybe we don't do it exactly as they did but there could be ideas we can borrow, The biggest thing is just doing it......and doing it right. Butch ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
