Butch, I agree with you that "S" Scale and "S" Hi-Rail like Carl Tuvesons layout is what should be showcased. After viewing both the hobbiest will make up their own minds as to which or both they will follow. We have been, for a few years now, thinking about doing an on-line mag. with just such a format. Perhaps this is the time to get it off the ground. Thoughts? Dave LBR Enterprises, llc 502-292-1872

I never thought about the online MRH. But, I really think this publication needs to be an all "S" publication and not just one article or layout per year in GMR. We're trying to catch the attention of modelers in other gauges to show the positive attributes of "S" scale. It could follow the lines of being an S scale primer, but much more. I also don't think traditional AF fits into my idea of what this publication should be any more than you see scale and traditional 3R in the same publication in O gauge. They share the gauge but have completely different followers. We are fortunate in "S" that manufacturers can produce locos and rolling stock that for the most part fit both venues. I think "S" Scale and "S" Hi-Rail like Carl Tuvesons layout is what should be showcased. I also thought Jeff's idea was to not publish the member issue of the Dispatch and use those funds (along with others) to publish this "S" layout special. Whether is was substituded for the member issue or had to be purchased individually was lost in my excitement of seeing a publication of this type. I'll buy it. But, I think it's important to see it available in hobby shops or online or in some venue to reach the mainstream modelers in other gauges. Butch ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
