S didn't have a sizeable narrow gauge group when S was named. That has changed to where we have several gauges under our "umbrella". So if the NASG is an umbrella group let's make it just that. Sometimes we get lost in time, for instance, the NAACP is an old group that uses the word "Colored People" in it's title. Not too many people use that term anymore. Not many of us on the scale side use the term S gauge either. I don't know of any grouping that uses the term gauge except for us. I normally say I model in "S" and leave it at that. Since my body is far from black, I can't voice an opinion on the NAACP, but I think we could collectively make some kind of suitable change to reflect our current status. After all we did the big change--our track gauge itself many years ago without too much of a problem.
