Hi Dave/John --
I believe the NMRA adopted the NASG standard. However, it is unlikely they
will change again, so from that standpoint your walking away from the NASG
makes no real difference. At this stage, I see the NASG as more of a
social organization, with occasional ventures into financially promoting the
development of new products. Unfortunately, when people don't join, or
walk away, there is less of those funds to be used in that manner.
Dave's models are well worth displaying in the model press. Have you
submitted any of them to MR or RMC for their photo pages or Dremel page?
(I don't know, because I don't subscribe to any of them.)

Actually the whole NASG thing is irrelevant to most modelers so it don't
matter what it's called, in fact we probably should distance ourselves as
far as possible from it.
Of course we need standards but we don't need an NASG or NASS to create
them, all other gauges get along just fine with NMRA standards.
..., more models in the mainstream press,
... and efforts to get major players interested in doing something in S
scale. We'll know we've arrived when Atlas, Athearn, or MTH jumps on the S
bandwagon....Dave Branum
