Dear Michael,
We are in the same situation as 60 other model railroad manufacturers in ALL
scales. But, things have never looked better for the SHS tooling getting
moved. After 14 months of trying to run our business as usual, Mike and I
realized that what we were doing was keeping us alive, but not moving our
tooling to a new builder. Part of the problem was unpaid inventory in China.
For us to move tooling, we had to have all of our inventory paid and shipped
back to us. Since our BOGOF sale, we were able to generate enough $$$ and
secure loans to pay for all of the remaining inventory. We hope to see that in
the next 4 to 6 weeks.
Most of our tooling has been inspected and crated. The only outstanding
tooling is at outside contractors and we were told that this would be
consolidated in the next week or two. We are hoping our tooling will be moved
to a new builder before the end of the year with production up and running by
the end of the 2012.
