I am here to say that there is someone who is producing cars that are
reflective of the modern era ( defined as mid 1960's to present day).
One point: fifty years ago is not 'modern' in any meaningful sense. SD60s are
being rebuilt and the early Dash-8s have already been cut up for scrap, and
those were built in the 1980s. Freight cars tend to last longer, but cars from
the '60s have used up their legal service life, if they haven't already been
scrapped for being undersized.
