Very much so--I logged on yesterday and found well over a hundred messages added overnight, almost all from the S scale chatlist. And, frankly, almost none of them adding useful information to our common store of knowledge. I appreciate the human need tovent, express one's feelings and passions, but I wonder how much actual modeling could have been accomplished in the time andenergy devoted to attacking the keyboards? At the age of seventy I have finally started to master the art of stopping to think"Is this message really necessary?" before hitting the send button; still only a start, I fear... Pieter, the moderator, was soliciting volunteers to approach the NMRA about unsticking the SIG; as a life member, I had agreed tojoin the movement--just not to be point person, as I simply don't have the time right now.
