Iron Rail models presumably has the original Ace tooling, they currently offer 
the hopper conversion:

I suppose it would make sense to see if Iron Rail are interested in offering 
the other conversions before re-inventing them on Shapeways.

I would think more toward a 7-8 foot door for AM or PRS boxcars, a different 
end for the same (Buckeye Eire or Deco C&O designs).

Even simpler detail parts - modern plastic trash cans or dumpsters for example. 
Similar parts are already shown in the Shapeways gallery in other scales.
