Bill: Brilliant observation and idea. My 38 year old son David is autistic and one of the few activities he seems to enjoy is railfanning and train videos.. He's fascinated with big machines..trains, trucks, construction equipment etc.

Rather than throwing them out, see if you have a facility that takes care of autistic children and give them to that facility. Also, wouldn’t you have loved to have gotten old magazines from a neighbor when you were very young? If you have kids in your area (especially elementary school age and younger), you can give them to those kids. Or you can see if the school library can use them. Have fun!
