I love it when a couple of separate research points come together.  The photo 
at the top of the page Rusty posted is the exact same photo that appears on 
page 81 of the 1982 Mainline Modeler series on passenger car trucks of the 
lightweight era.  It is labeled 41-DN in Pullman nomenclature.  My guess is 
4-TD-1 was the SP's internal designation.  Information from the article says it 
was the first specifically designed for disc btakes and was a precursor of the 
outside swing hanger design.  It was used under some sleepers for B&O, SAL and 
cars for the Sunset Limited, Lark and Cascade.  Cool...!
