 It also allows a bit less trouble maintaining a common coupler height. Cars 
can have a bit more leeway in their coupler height and still stay coupled. 
Often a car can be at the proper ride height but the coupler pad still needs up 
or down adjustment, so a slightly taller coupler might eliminate the need to 
refine the height.Since these models are expected to run it sometimes makes 
sense to facilitate it with slightly oversize parts such as couplers, flanges, 
etc. and as these things are what makes trains unique they might add some extra 
flavor when they are accented a bit( note the word slightly, I'm not implying 
that flyer foot tall flanges and garbage can sized couplers are the way to
