I just perused the notice about the new Scullin drivers for AF Hudsons. They
look great and might possibly enhance the appearance of the AF Hudson. The
company also promises new smokebox fronts for AF Hudsons, Atlantics, and
Pacifics. Well, good idea! Oh, yes, and the company has coal bunker
extensions for AF tenders as well as a part to lengthen the AF tender.
Well, so what? Just a thought: If the company could make a new DC drive for
the AF Pacific and perhaps offer some detail parts, we might have something.
Folks say that the AF Pacific is an attempt to copy the USRA light Pacific.
Didn't the USRA light Pacific share the same boiler with the USRA light Mikado?
Well, what about a set of scale drivers and DC motor for that AF Pacific
boiler?
With a few additional detail parts the AF Pacific might look pretty good and
fill a void. I don't know the mechanics of all these things, but just a
thoughtk.
