Hi guys --
I am joining Tom in not voting, but not for the same reasons. In my case,
I can and do run code 88 wheels, but I have literally hundreds of pieces of
rolling stock that would have to be changed out to make them all the same,
and I am NOT going to do that. I don’t have a single locomotive with code
88 wheels and being mostly brass steamers, I am NOT going to change that,
either. I DO run my trains, and at two feet away running a scale 30 mph,
you will never notice the width of the wheels, particularly with 65 year old
eyes.
Were I starting from scratch in scale S, and were the steam locos available
with code 88 wheels, then I would go for the code 88 profile. I will let
you modern era guys fight it out on the poll...
Happy New Year!

We have opened a poll to see which code wheels would be purchased . . . . .
With only the choices of 088 and 110.

You know people who use code 88 have to be very careful of their trackwork.
Of course, the narrower the more realistic, but it's a trade-off with
reliable operation.
I'm not going to vote.
