And pound for pound S looks great next to Z, so what's your point?  Folks quit 
O because they run out of room.  Folks quit HO because they want something 
larger, smaller, or a new challenge.  There's not a model railroader on the 
planet that bases his choice of scale on price per pound, or generally price at 
all.  I was in O for quite a long time.  It was lack of availability of what I 
wanted (1890s) and SIZE that made me leave.  If modelers need to sojourn in O 
for awhile before finding S, so be it.  We need more stuff, not cheap stuff.
