I'll agree with this as well.  I also find TT fastinating... much moreso now 
that a few models of US prototypes are starting to show up.  It also does not 
carry a stigma like S scale does (the AF stigma).

    ...If I had my way S and TT would be the dominate large and small scales.
    The attraction of S for me is that I can fit more railroad into a smaller 
space than O and still feel satisfied with the ergonomics of it.
    Same situation for TT on the small side, it's a lot nicer size to work with
