Yeah, it wasn't meant to be comprehensive just a snapshot of the ebay
listings at that time. The general results hold though, there's a lot more used
scale O stuff on the market than used scale S stuff.
Of course all the O stuff don't matter much to those without room for O and
this is where S is missing the boat, guys don't have room for O and can't find
what they want in S so they end up in HO scale although it's not really the
first choice. Due to the supply/demand situation I'm even tempted to build my
next layout in HO even though I know the advantages of S size and have some S
stuff so imagine how much harder it is to attract guys who have never
experienced S and would be starting from scratch?
Hopefully the new S sig will improve the situation of getting out the S scale
message to the broader modeling world. I still think that S scale has a lot
more intrinsic appeal than ON30 and look how it grew from nothing so there
might be good reason to believe.....DaveBranum
