Another thing me and bob don't have down here in Texas is the basement. Our
water table is too high plus we  (Arlington, Fort Worth) would have to dig
through some bedrck to get down far enoughfor the foundation. One thing I miss.
I was born in Liberal, Kansas, but don't remember the basement but do remember
the upstairs rooms.
                                               Thanks,
Alan, in soggy Fort Worth playing with trains.

The few, brief shinning years that we resided in Colorado showed me the
advantages of living more than a mile high and the accompanying low humidity,
low to non-existent mold count and the ready availability of S/G/O and
especially  Sn3. Two great hobby shops in the Denver area, Mizell Trains and
Caboose Hobbies (otherwise known as the Rocky Mountain Model Railroad Mecca
Store).

Even the basements were relatively dry. I went to several model train club
meetings while we lived there and guys talked about track that had been stored
in open containers for years, no rust.

OK, I admit it: I miss the mountains...

back to retrieve them, Inman
