Jeff,

Unless something has changed in the past month or so, the last I heard was that 
the Sargent couplers were were back on the list of items to be produced, since 
many S scalers and also On30 modelers have written to Frank requesting them. 
John Degnan would be the one to ask about this. This will require Sargent to 
make new tooling, which means an investment of time and money on his part, so 
it likely won't happen overnight, but at least the project hasn't been canceled.

If you can find a tube of electronics grade silicon adhesive, it should work 
better than epoxy for attaching your LED to the shell. The reason you want 
electronics grade silicon is that it doesn't contain the corrosive acetic acid 
used as an agent in regular silicone. As for wire attachment, small plugs like 
those used in computers or R/C models can be used, I believe Micro Mark carries 
at least one type.
