Looking for a couple of ALCO sound cards with specific characteristics. I'd
appreciate any recommendations from users of ALCO sound cards.
First is the Alco S-4 switcher with the 6 cylinder Turbocharged 539 engine.
Specifically looking for a card with the distinctive turbocharger whistle.
Something with the higher pitched 'blat' type horn would be nice. Hard to even
find a 539 engine sound card at all...
Second is the RS-3 road switcher (and FA cab unit) with the 12 cylinder 244
engine. Specifically looking for a card with the distinctive idling loping
sound, and the Alco
'knocking' sound when running. NOT some generic engine noise. Something with
the deep pitch 'blat' type horn, if available.
Any help/recommendations would be appreciated, as sinking this much money into
my engines I want to get it right the first time. Thanks!
