Jim: I have used the Tsunami decoders for Alco 244 sounds in brass FA2's. I have also used several of the LokSound decoders, mainly for the more "odd" sounds like Alco switchers and Baldwin Sharks. Both are acceptable, you should listed to them to see if they have the sound characteristics you are after. Personally I think the Tsumani have better overall sound but the LokSound decoders have superior "loping at idle" features.
Again, my suggestion would be to find folks using both and listen to them, try an HO club - the sound files will be the same.
