I used a KD 26 (if I recall correctly) with its long shank to get the coupler out past the pilot. Otherwise there were issues with the next car.
I either used the little AM pad or I built-up some styrene. I'd have to check. And.... Enjoy your time in Hilliard if you're going to the Spree.
