I've mounted the AM Snap-Lock coupler to the front of the E8's. Had to build up a pad first.
Mounting an 802 is somewhat of a problem because the coupler has to stick out enough so the uncoupling pin clears the pilot and the pin on adjoining car doesn't snag on the pilot. My E8's are only intended to couple to the dummy couplers on the AM Budds, so I could bring them in relatively close.
