  Hi Ed. As long as some folks insist on such tight curves and large flanges as 
AF trains use there is no easy solution. Either the manufacturer has to make 
two different locos with either scale or flyer wheels and pilots or they have 
to make replaceable wheels and pilots for one universal loco. Either is not 
ideal from an inventory standpoint. The simplest way would be to tell the flyer 
guys they are not gonna make large locos that runs on such a tight radius any 
more so if they want to buy newer stuff they gotta expand their curves or stick 
to smaller prototypes. They might grumble for a while but they are all old and 
won't be around that much longer then the problem would be solved. I'm sure the 
younger scale crowd is a much stronger long term market, the HO guys would 
migrate over to S in large enough numbers to replace the flyer guys once all 
the toy train hassles were eliminated...DaveBranum
