Sorry Pieter but I think you are over reacting a bit to an interesting 
discussion even if not exactly in line with the direct question.

People like to discuss and argue their points and I found nothing 
offensive about the discussion.  Sometimes things get a little heated 
but I didn't even see that with this.  Maybe irrelevant to the original 
question but not totally.

Kind of reminds me of meal times at my fraternity where nobody had 
anything to say and they always said it louder and louder.

Now, if you want to see real serious disagreement and anger, join one of 
the BMW lists and ask a question about
Dino oil vs. Synthetic
Big Brake Kits
Air Filters
Standard vs. Automatic

and wait for the cursing and perceived death threats.  In comparison 
this is really a tame group.
