Here is a bit of progress from last night. First, I fell asleep for
about 45 minutes right after dinner so I started off a bit late.
However, I did get my forest planted but 50 trees weren't nearly
enough--probably more like 80 were planted!
One casuality of the night was my right leg. It was getting painful
fairly early in the evening and today I'm walking like that guy on
"Person of Interest" --very stiff. I had to assume several cramped
positions while on my knees on the ROW.
Because, I had to drill holes for each of the trees, I've come across a
problem that I always seem to have. When drilling into the plaster the
bit will bring up a little pile of plaster dust that is hard to deal
with. I have been coloring my plaster but it's not dark enough to just
leave there. I have some miniature vacuum attachments that I hope will
get most of it up. After that I might try some wood stain.
So wish me luck in getting back up there with my vacuum, paint brushes
and then my track cleaning block! I can feel it already!

So if I can get myself back up on the layout tonight to clean the
track and install about 50 trees, I'll pretty much be ready for
whoever decides to come by this Friday. Anything else can wait till
the next deadline approaches.

Glad you're keeping busy Bob. I tend to model railroad in spurts,

need an open house to spur me to action.
