My SLE&P is ALMOST flawless when it comes to staying on the track.   A 
guaranteed trigger of a derailment is a guest.   The last time this happened 
(as I remember) was when Jim Martin from Canada came by to see the trains. 
It turned out that the gremlin was lint (from a cat no longer with us)
